Who is Toboe, you may ask?

Toboe is a favourite character of mine from the anime series, Wolf's Rain.

My local Anime convention is arriving this coming April/May. I hope to not only attend a convention for the first time but to cosplay as a character for the first time as well(human form Toboe, not wolf(I'm a furry, but not quite to that extent.))

I've chosen Toboe to cosplay for I feel I fit his personality and physical description as it stands better than any other character. Know, though that my transformation into this charming young chap will be no simple matter and will involve quite a few necessities. I've compiled an elaborate list of items I'll need:

The italicized items are ones I already own or have attained.

I had a successful shopping expedition today at the Bargain Center as I managed to get two possible shirts to use for the cosplay, a belt, and the boots as well as some clothes to give to my big brother for Christmas, all for the unbelievable price of $10.98! Talk about a bargain! Considering every last item there was used though, I shouldn't be overly shocked . . .

I have over seven months to prepare for this event, so I should have no trouble getting all I need in that time to be the best Toboe I can be. Even though this is my first true cosplay, I want to go all out with it. Everyone please wish me luck! I'll continue in the future to give updates on my accessory status.

That's about five years, I believe, of that same shitty animation. I probably should have just kept it though.
I've likely just thrown my life serenity off its delicate balance into a devastating oblivion of bad juju for all eternity . . . plus I had a Viky motif going with my previous icon. Oh well.

For those who haven't heard much in the way of comments from me:
I'm not ignoring anyone on purpose, so please don't feel as though I am. Seriously, stop that now.
I love you all, I say that enough at the end of nearly every journal. I just don't read every journal or comment on every deviation, nor do I expect you to do the same(Please don't do that anyway; it overloads the box.) I don't get on the computer much at all anymore, so when I do, I usually have upwards of hundreds of devations and journals to go through. Face it, I care greatly about you all, and that should be not measured by how many comments I leave. Keep up the great work, everyone.

For the past few days, I've been caring for an infant Cottontail Rabbit. I'm left to assume he was abandoned, but I'm afraid he may have just wandered a ways from his nest. When I was given him, his eyes had not yet opened. I read up on all the sites, feeling more and more guilty about agreeing to take him in as each site began by saying that under the circumstances he'd been found that he should be put back where found. I continued on to learn how to house him and feed him, even how to encourage him to urinate(all over my favourite shirt.) Assuming the rabbit to be male, I named him Leonard Rico Dribbles, a collaborated name, if it weren't obvious enough.

I suppose it was a form of redemption for me to raise this rabbit, as I'd taken on a similar responsibility a few years ago and failed miserably, to say the least.

Within a day or so, I was thrilled to find that his little eyes had finally opened. He even began grooming himself on his own. It was becoming clear to me that the four-hourly schedule of makeshift formula feedings I planned for him would only sustain him for so much longer.

All the sites told me that there was an enzyme only a mother rabbit could provide her babies if they hoped to survive now on green foods adult rabbits eat. Lack of this bacteria in their systems proved to be the leading cause of death in captive rabbits, as their stomachs would not be able to handle the leafy green diet without. I knew my time of caring for Leonard was coming to a close.

We called a wildlife rehabiltation center this morning, the nearest one in the midstate area. They agreed to take him, so we drove with Leonard for a good hour or so up to this facility that seemed well suited to caring for him. We know now he'll continue his journey with other fellow cottontails to call his brothers and sisters. He'll be released in a few weeks into a forest area, far from the city, living the greatest life I could ever dream for him.

As I sit here at home, finally allowing my cat into my room again as there is nothing he could snap the tiny neck of any longer, I see clearly Leonard's still affecting my subconscious thought, as I think to myself every now and then "Is the music too loud for. . ." "What time is it? When's the last time I fed. . ." "Is the door closed? I don't want Ardimus to get in and find. . ."

It will easily take some time for me to completely fall back into my normal regime, and even longer not to miss the apricot-sized ball of fluff and bones, sticky with condensed milk, hopping eagerly toward me when I made the noise his mother would. Leonard Rico Dribbles will have a good life, and perhaps he'll even manage to recall his fosterer, the first face he saw, as he reenters the wild he crawled out from.

I've discovered something quite adorable:


They are curious types of critters known as Woodbabies. Essentially, it is a puppet that commonly sits on one's shoulder and is controlled by a cable mechanism that moves its head, allowing it to look about as if it were a living creature. They come in many styles and colours. There are dragons, unicorns, gryphons, birds, cats, wolves, etc. Each is unique and very beautiful. if you ever wish to order one, check out the website: [link]
I just recently chose to get one. mine should be arriving in the next few weeks. I myself am deeply enthralled by them, especially considering you don't need to feed, water or clean up after them!

It has been a time. What more can I say?
Deviant isn't the only place I've isolated myself from; It's been the computer in general. Part of it has been all the camps I attended over the summer, but most of it has been my latest significant other. He's really brightened my life.
I'm not going to say I'm back to stay, but I'm at least checking in. I've missed talking to all of you. I hope you hold no hostility toward me on account of my scarceness. I'll try to reconnect.
